An Stelle Herrn H. Lühr⸗

...with the German Synod; 11½ votes fell against any union at all, and
8 congregations did not vote and are regarded as assenting, namely to
the Synod's becoming a district of our Synod. (Likewise according to
the *Lutheraner* 1911, p. 55.)
The proposals that the committee intends to make in this matter it
will present orally to the Synod at its convention in St. Louis.

Report of the Board of Directors of the Concordia Publishing House.
In this report as well, the Board of Directors of the Concordia
Publishing House can only look back on the past triennium with
heartfelt thanks to God. Our work has not been without rich blessing,
and although we must not fail to mention the diligence and
faithfulness of our employees, we also acknowledge, with sincere
thanks to God, our indebtedness to our honored editors and authors,
especially also to the venerable faculty of Concordia Seminary in
St. Louis, and to our valued customers.
Shortly after the 1908 Delegate Synod, we elected Mr. H. Ellermann to
the Board in place of Mr. W. Gilster, who had been appointed by the
Synod but was unable to serve. In place of Mr. H. Lührmann, who
resigned, Mr. R. Leonhardt was elected.
The terms of the following gentlemen have expired: J. Schüßler, H. W.
Wichmann, and R. Leonhardt.
A glimpse into our activity may be given by the following list of our
publications, and yet we must confess that we have not done justice to
all the tasks set before us. Still unfinished are the school Bible and
the catechism in the newest orthography. We expect both books by 1912.
The planned revision of the German readers has not yet come about,
since no approved manuscript has been delivered to us by the
responsible synodical committee.
