deutend verringern.
40 Kindern Raum bietet.

beten! Ja, HErr, „laß unſer Werk geraten wohl, was ein jeder aus⸗

Ehr' und Preis“!

that considerably. But our mission would not thereby be put at risk.
We would then, as the sister synod of the Norwegians also does, have
to bring in children from other reservations and in this way carry on
our mission further. —
We now ask the Reverend Synod, in connection with the above
report, for the following:
1. That it approve the course of action taken by its commission
regarding the erection of the farm building.
2. That it decide whether the farm building should be faced with
brick. This would cost about $500.00 to $800.00. It ought to be
done, because rain and frost are now damaging the walls both from
within and from without.
3. That it decide whether the Zoar station shall henceforth again
be staffed with a missionary or, should the opportunity arise, be
sold. As the buildings now stand, they are falling into disrepair and
will become worthless within a short time.
4. That it enlarge the commission from three to five men. The
reasons for this will be readily apparent.
5. That it decide whether a schoolhouse shall be erected at Red
Springs. At the rear of the church there is an addition originally
used as a classroom, but it holds at most 35 to 40 children. We have
therefore now been holding school instruction in the church itself
for two years. This, however, is ruining the interior of the church
entirely, and the school benches are also a great hindrance during
worship. We therefore need a schoolhouse that seats 60 schoolchildren.
About $2000.00 should be enough to have it built.
6. That it decide whether a small chapel may be built at Morgan,
in case the schoolhouse now lent to us for our worship services is no
longer available for that purpose. The cost of erecting such a
building would come to about $1000.00.
The treasurer's report for the past three years is as
follows:
Cash on hand March 1, 1908 ............................ $ 587.02
Income from March 1, 1908, to March 6, 1911 ............ 19201.08
----------
$19788.10
Expenses from March 1, 1908, to March 6, 1911 .......... 19482.02

To the faithful God, the great Lord of the mission, be praise,
glory, and thanks for all the mercy and faithfulness He has shown us
in this work! May He continue to bless this work of the Indian
mission and not let our Christians grow weary of supporting this
mission too, to the best of their ability, and of praying diligently
for it! Yes, Lord, "let our work prosper well, whatever each of us
is to accomplish, that our labor, toil, and diligence may redound to
Thy praise, honor, and glory"!
