11. Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1905. 37

11th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1905. 37

10. Resolved, that the question whether instruction in the seminary
should be more by subject than by class be left for decision, or
determination, to the faculty and the board of control.

11. Resolved, that the seminary's natural-history cabinet be enriched
as much as possible, especially since it has become apparent that it
falls short, in its richness, of the cabinets of our full gymnasiums,
even though teachers need a rich cabinet even more than pastors do.

12. Resolved, that the motion to establish an outside examining
committee for the Seminary at Addison be denied, and that in this
respect no distinction be made between this seminary and the Synod's
other institutions; that is, that the old practice remain in place.

13. Resolved, that it be made the duty of the seminary's professors
to use every opportunity to familiarize themselves with both our
Synod's school system and that of the state, whenever this can be
done without their work at the seminary being impaired by it.

14. Resolved, that class registers be kept at the seminary, with
entries made after every class period on the work performed by
teachers and students.

Note: Director Krauss stated that this resolution had already been
put into practice some time ago and would continue to be followed.

15. Resolved, that the Synod instruct its president to appoint a
committee to leave it to the dear congregation at Addison to consider
whether the time may not have come for the school district in the
village of Addison to be organized into an independent parish, into
which the seminary would be incorporated, or for the seminary's
residents to be given better church care in some other way.

16. Resolved, that the following communication submitted by the
teacher delegates toward the close of the synodical sessions, which
the Synod, for lack of time, could no longer take up for deliberation
or resolution, and which must instead be left, both deliberation and
resolution, to the next Delegate Synod, be published in the synodical
report:

"The teacher delegates, at a meeting held, unanimously resolved to
submit the following, in all deference, to a Reverend General Synod.
