11. Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1905. 71

Synode vertrete in allen Fällen, in welchen derſelbe keine Vertreter

11th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1905. 71

...take up and forward special collections for the General Church
Building Fund, so that not only the poor congregations in London but
also those in Brazil and here at home may be served.

15. Resolved, that the Synod expresses its grateful acknowledgment
of the rich blessing that God has bestowed on our mission work in
Brazil. In the short time of our labor there he has granted us more than
20 congregations, so that a new District of our Synod, the Brazilian
District, could be formed.

16. Resolved, that the existing relationship of the Brazilian District
to the General Committee for Home Missions continue insofar as the
latter shall, in the future as well, assist the said District with counsel
and action and represent it at the General Synod in every case in which
it cannot send delegates of its own to us in North America.

17. Resolved, that the Brazilian District continue to receive our
material support in the future as well, for as long as it needs it.

18. Resolved, that the members of our congregations be cordially
asked to continue supporting the mission work in Brazil vigorously with
their prayers and gifts.

19. Resolved, that the members of our congregations also lend their
support to the mission in Brazil by subscribing to and reading the
*Kirchenblatt für Südamerica* [Church Paper for South America],
published by the Brazilian District and obtainable through our
Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, whose proceeds do not yet
cover its production costs.

20. Resolved, that poor congregations in Brazil too be granted a loan
from the General Church Building Fund when they request one, and that
the sending in of collections for this fund therefore not be forgotten.

21. Resolved, that the Synod approves that the General Committee
for Home Missions has supported both the South Australian Synod in its
mission work in Western Australia and the Hermannsburg Free Church in
its mission work in New Zealand.

22. Resolved, further, that it approves that the committee — in
accordance with a resolution of the Synod adopted earlier — has
established a special fund for the mission in Western Australia and
New Zealand.

23. Resolved, that the Synod urgently requests its committee, in its
effort to find workers for the mission field in Western Australia and
especially in New Zealand, to proceed with all diligence
