154 Verhandlungen der 26. Allgemeinen oder
IV.
(Siehe
S. 137.)
Anmerkung: Zu Gliedern dieſer Commiſſion wurden er⸗
wählt: Die PP.: J. Schlerf, B. Sievers; die Lehrer: A. Theiß,
J. H. Beyer; die Herren: Dr. H. Dümling, G. Semmann, W. Starke,
F. Rünzel, F. Höck, A. Kringel, G. E. A. Küchle.

IV. The Eastern District, too, had requested the Synod's consent regarding division. This consent was given by the following resolution:
Resolved, that the Eastern District be permitted to carry out the division of the district, should it prove unavoidably necessary in the course of the next triennium.
Note: The increasing number of districts made the election of an additional Vice-President seem altogether necessary.
Resolved, that a third Vice-President be placed alongside the two already in office, by election.
Note: Pastor H. Succop of Chicago was elected third Vice-President of the General Synod.
────────
Committee on Incorporation.
Since much uncertainty prevails as to whether the incorporation of the General Synod also covers the district synods and the institutions located within them, or whether every district synod, or respectively every institution of the Synod, must be separately incorporated in addition to the incorporation of the General Synod, the Synod found itself obliged to appoint a special committee.
1. Resolved, that a committee be appointed which, with the assistance of experts, shall inform itself precisely about the various incorporations within the Synod and their relation to the likewise incorporated Synod.
2. Resolved, that this commission report on all its work at the next Delegate Synod and submit any proposals.
3. Resolved, that the petition of the North Illinois Pastoral Conference also be reviewed by this committee. (See p. 137.)
Note: Elected as members of this commission were: The Pastors: J. Schlerf, B. Sievers; the teachers: A. Theiß, J. H. Beyer; the gentlemen: Dr. H. Dümling, G. Semmann, W. Starke, F. Rünzel, F. Höck, A. Kringel, G. E. A. Küchle.
