11. Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1905. 59

„Ueber Zahl der Glieder, der Schulkinder, Ausſicht ꝛc. dieſer
fünf Gemeinden kurz Folgendes:

„1. Die Gemeinde Sao Pedro. An derſelben ſteht P. Schulz.

„2. Die Gemeinde Morro Redondo. Seelſorger dieſer
Gemeinde iſt P. Brandt. Obwohl dieſe Gemeinde an Gliederzahl

arbeitet. Zu dieſer Gemeinde gehören 16 ſtimmberechtigte Glieder.
Die Schule zählt 31 Schüler. Auch hier ſind die Ausſichten auf
Zuwachs gut. Zum Pfarrgehalt bedarf die Gemeinde einen Zuſchuß
von $325.00.

„5. Die Gemeinde Bom Jeſus. An derſelben ſteht P. Hart⸗
So Gott will, ſoll ſpäter ein Inſtitut

11th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1905. 59

"Briefly, on the number of members, school children, prospects,
etc. of these five congregations:

"1. The congregation of Sao Pedro. Rev. Schulz serves here.
It is our oldest congregation, founded by us in 1900. The number
of voting members is 19, that of school children 30. There is good
prospect here. The congregation raises $75.00 toward the salary
and needs a subsidy of $325.00.

"2. The congregation of Morro Redondo. The pastor of this
congregation is Rev. Brandt. Although this congregation is still
small in membership — it counts only 6 voting members — there is
nevertheless a large settlement area here, one of the most
favorable in this conference district. This congregation was
founded in 1902. The school is attended by 40 children. At the
time of the visitation the pastor's salary still had to be met entirely
from the treasury.

"3. The congregation of Santa Eulalia, served by us since
1901, counts 24 voting members, 33 school children, has good
prospects for growth, and raises half the salary — $200.00. This
congregation was vacant at the time of the visitation, since Rev.
Stiemke had followed a call to Sao Leopoldo. It is still vacant at
present.

"4. The congregation of Santa Coletta. Under very difficult
circumstances Rev. Vogel has worked here with good success since
1901. This congregation has 16 voting members. The school
numbers 31 students. Here too the prospects for growth are good.
Toward the pastor's salary the congregation needs a subsidy of
$325.00.

"5. The congregation of Bom Jesus. Rev. Hartmeister has
served here since 1901. He too works here under especially difficult
circumstances. Besides his pastoral work, he was, at the time of
the visitation, teaching five boys being prepared for service in the
preaching and teaching office. God willing, an institute is to be
established later in another, more favorably situated congregation.
The congregation counts 37 voting members. The school is attended
by 26 children. It raises $125.00 toward the salary.

"On May 15 the visitation in the Sao Lourenzo district was
completed. It took eleven days, during which 175 miles were
covered by settler's wagon. On May 26 the visitation began in the
Porto Alegre conference district. It comprises the congregations of
Estancia Velha, Sao Leopoldo, Baumschneis, and Porto Alegre.

"1. The congregation of Estancia Velha. Rev. Brutschin stood
here for a number of years. At the time of the visitation he had Estancia
