J. N. J. [In the Name of Jesus — the customary Latin heading opening the minutes]

In accordance with the timing set by the presidium, the General Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States convened as the Eleventh *Delegatensynode* [Delegate Synod] on Wednesday, June 21, in Detroit, Mich., and held its sessions there until Saturday afternoon, July 1, in the Immanuel's Church of Pastor W. The schedule was set so that the morning sessions ran from 8:30 to 11:30 and the afternoon sessions from 2 to 5 o'clock. Each session was opened with singing, the reading of a Scripture passage, prayer, and the blessing of the Lord, given by the chaplain appointed by the Synod, Pastor Ad. Poppe, and was closed by the chairman with the Lord's Prayer. In addition, a pastoral conference and several delegate-body meetings were also held.
