London — England —, Auſtralien und Neuſeeland).

56 Proceedings of the 26th General or

2. Resolved, that the synod is prepared to call and pay the
professors needed from time to time, if the congregations of the
California and Nevada District acquire suitable property and
undertake the institution's upkeep otherwise.

Home Missions (including the mission in Brazil,
London — England —, Australia, and New Zealand).

"I. Your commission takes the liberty of pointing first of all to
the main subject the commission appointed by a Reverend Synod
has to deal with, namely the support, to be provided from the
General Home Mission fund, of those synodical districts that
cannot carry on the mission work assigned to them in their
territory without assistance.

"From the fund for General Home Missions it was possible,
during the past three-year period (July 1902 to April 1905), to
allocate the sum of $31,140.42 to the districts in need of support
($6325.34 more than in the three-year period before last, July
1899 to April 1902). Of the sum named ($31,140.42), the Oregon
and Washington District received $12,196.56, the Southern District
$8365.64, the California and Nevada District $7004.07, the Kansas
District $2250.00, the Canada District $1324.15; total: $31,140.42.

"If we now add to this sum what was allocated to the mission in
England, namely the sum of $2715.00; further, what was spent for
the mission in Brazil (including the travel costs caused by the
visitation resolved on and carried out by the Reverend Synod),
namely $17,273.10; further, what was used for the mission in
Australia and New Zealand, namely $1921.90; likewise $975.00,
which sum was sent to support the Berlin Mission to the treasurer
of the Saxon Free Church through Rev. P. Keyl, or paid out to Rev.
P. Amling; and finally $125.00, which the mission congregation in
Hamburg, being in need of help, received — then a total of
$54,150.42 was paid out by the General Home Mission Commission
during the last three synodical years.

"Note. Regarding the support that has been granted to the
congregation in Hamburg at its request, your commission takes the
liberty of pointing to the resolution passed by a Reverend Synod in
1896: "Resolved, that the synod
