70 Proceedings of the 26th General or

...for the maintenance of the mission there. The congregations, or rather
their members, are kindly asked to remember this fund as well with their
contributions.

7. Resolved, that it be recalled that the promising mission field at
Mulhouse in Alsace also needs support from us — namely, at least
$250.00 a year.

8. Resolved, that the fraternal greeting sent to our Synod by the
*Präses* [president] of the Saxon Free Church, Pastor O. Willkomm, be
answered in turn through the secretary of the Committee for Home
Missions.

9. Resolved, that the General Church Building Fund, hitherto
co-administered by the Committee for Home Missions, be taken from it
and placed under the administration of a separate committee for this
fund, whose members are to share a common place of residence with the
general treasurer.

10. Resolved, that the Committee for Administration of the Church
Building Fund be instructed, in conjunction with the District committees
for the church building fund, to have a number of simple and practical
building plans for churches and schools prepared, so as to provide such
plans to needy congregations that wish to build a church or school and
seek a loan from the church building fund for that purpose, so that they
do not plunge themselves, through a costly building project, into a
burden of debt beyond their strength, as has happened to more than one
mission congregation to its great harm.

11. Resolved, that the Synod gratefully acknowledges, and expresses
its great joy, that the members of our two congregations in London have
shown themselves so exceedingly willing to sacrifice for the preservation
of pure doctrine even in that city of millions.

12. Resolved, that the members of our congregations be cordially
asked to continue supporting the mission in London with generous
freewill gifts, so that not only the current expenses can be met but also
the debt burdening the church property can soon be paid off.

13. Resolved, that the two congregations in London also receive our
help in that, through a loan from the General Church Building Fund,
their total debt of $5,785.00, still resting on the property of the two
congregations, be lifted from them in full — and indeed as soon as
possible.

14. Resolved, that in order to make possible the resolution named
under No. 13, the congregations be requested very soon to
