„Ueber den Lauf des Geſchäftes verweiſen wir auf den ausführ⸗
lichen Bericht des Generalagenten, der ſich dieſem Bericht anſchließt.

„Wir haben die Bücher des Generalagenten wöchentlich revidirt,
auch haben wir die monatlichen Trial Balances und die vierteljähr⸗
lichen und jährlichen Abſchlüſſe uns vorlegen laſſen und ſie geprüft.
Das Geſchäft wurde jährlich an dem von der Synode feſtgeſetzten
Tag, den 1. Februar, abgeſchloſſen, zur ſelben Zeit wie die Bücher
des Allgemeinen Kaſſirers.

„Neben den vielen Zeitſchriften, Erbauungs⸗ und Schulbüchern
(ſiehe den Bericht hierüber im ‚Statiſtiſchen Jahrbuch‘ für die Jahre
1902, 1903 und 1904) wurden noch folgende neue Schriften her⸗
geſtellt und von uns herausgegeben:

„Der letzte Band von Luthers Sämmtlichen Schriften, nämlich
Band XXIa und b (in zwei Bänden), Luthers Briefwechſel ent⸗
haltend, womit nun auch dieſes große, herrliche Unternehmen zum
Abſchluß gekommen iſt. Herr Prof. A. Hoppe arbeitet nun an einer
Zuſammenſtellung von zwei Regiſterbänden, welche, ſo Gott will,
im kommenden Synodaltermin erſcheinen werden. Außerdem er⸗
ſchienen noch: ‚Commentar über den Propheten Jeſaia‘, Cap. 1—12,
von D. G. Stöckhardt; ‘Sermons on the Gospels’, vol. II, von
P. H. Sieck; ‘Life of Dr. Martin Luther’ von P. E. A. Brügge⸗
mann; ‚Lutherbuch‘, deutſch und engliſch, von G. A. Juſt; ‚Goldenes
Abc vom heiligen Eheſtand‘; ‚Gottes Wort eine Gotteskraft‘ von
P. H. Weſeloh; ‚Bekehrung und Gnadenwahl‘ von P. C. M. Zorn;

"We have audited the General Agent's books weekly; we have also had the monthly trial balances and the quarterly and annual closings submitted to us and have examined them. The business was closed annually on the day fixed by the Synod, February 1, at the same time as the books of the General Treasurer.

"Besides the many periodicals, devotional books, and schoolbooks (see the report on these in the *Statistisches Jahrbuch* [Statistical Yearbook] for the years 1902, 1903, and 1904), the following new publications were produced and issued by us:

"The last volume of Luther's Collected Works, namely Volume XXIa and b (in two volumes), containing Luther's correspondence, with which this great and splendid undertaking has now been brought to completion.
