14th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1914. 159

Freistatt, Mo. The yield of this bequest over the last three years was
$2,246.29, and flows into the relief fund for poor pastors and
teachers. — Various new buildings have become necessary on the land,
which will amount to about $1,000, and whose cost must be met from the
yield of the property.

12. Bequest: the Heitmiller Bequest; sum: $1,000. The yield is
designated for poor students. The Reverend Synod must be informed that
this bequest was unfortunately lost through the bankruptcy of the
Granite City (Ill.) Hospital. The commission recovered only $80.79
after the sale of the hospital. The present commission found this
status quo already in place on taking office. Since then, however, the
General Treasurer has presented the commission with a plan, approved by
the Reverend General Presidium and also endorsed by the commission,
whereby a certain sum flows annually from the treasurer's "yield
account" into this Heitmiller fund until the original endowment is
restored. Thanks to this arrangement, the bequest's present balance is
$896.61.

13. Bequest: the Landreh Bequest; sum: $2,000. This bequest, too,
was lost through the bankruptcy of the Granite City Hospital. Only
$147.30 was recovered from the sale of the hospital. The present
commission likewise found this situation already in place when it was
elected. But this bequest, too, will be restored within a few years,
since in this case as well the General Treasurer's annual "yield
account" is drawn upon for help. So that the students of the
congregation in Bingen, Ind. (who were to be supported from the yield
of this bequest) might be helped in the meantime, yields whose
administration was left to the commission's discretion were assigned to
them from other bequests. The present balance of this bequest is
$154.75.

14. Bequest: the F. Stutz Bequest; consists of several dwelling
houses in Washington, D. C. Yield of the last three years: $781.32;
designated for general Synodical purposes.

15. Bequest: the Anton F. Kohlmeier Bequest; sum: $950. The yield
is designated for general Synodical purposes.

16. Bequest: the August Fiebig Bequest (Abbotsford, Wis.); sum:
$2,060. The yield is likewise designated for general Synodical
purposes.

17. Bequest: the J. F. Müller Bequest (Sherwood, O.); sum: $400.
In the commission's hands since December 1913. The yield is
designated for poor students.

18. Bequest: the H. Burke Bequest (Indianapolis, Ind.); sum: $500.
In the commission's hands since December 15, 1913. The yield is
designated for poor students.

19. Bequest: the Konrad Richardt Bequest; sum: $100. A new bequest,
whose yield is designated for the seminary in St. Louis, Mo.
