14. Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1914. 107

14th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1914. 107
4. On October 14 of this year it will be twenty years since the dispatch of our first heathen missionaries. We recommend to the Reverend Synod that it recommend to our congregations that they mark this anniversary, perhaps with a children's service in which the history of our mission is gone over with the schoolchildren, and that on that occasion a special collection be taken up for the heathen mission. At the same time, may the Reverend Synod commission someone to gather and have printed the material needed for such a lesson.
5. Since our Synod does not possess its own mission periodical, though it is altogether desirable that our Christians be regularly and thoroughly informed about the state of our various missions, we recommend to the Reverend Synod either that the Lutheraner be published weekly or in an enlarged format, or, failing that, that a mission periodical of its own be founded.
6. So that greater interest in the heathen mission may be awakened among the pupils and students of our institutions, we ask the Reverend Synod to determine that more instruction about our mission be given at our institutions.
