14. Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1914. 97
lichen Not fernerhin beizuſtehen.
Schweſterſynode in Auſtralien anzuſchließen.

14th Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1914. 97
4. In reading the report it struck us that our missionaries out there are not sending in reports as diligently and regularly as they should. We recommend that all our missionaries be informed that they cannot be excused in any way from promptly submitting the semi-annual reports required by the Commission.
Adopted.
Pastors Hartmeister and Firnhaber collected signatures for the paper of the brethren in South America.
New Fields.
Resolved, that the Commission, after gathering further information, and if it proves advantageous, take up mission work in Panama and Guatemala as well, if possible.
London.
Proposal of the Committee.
A request has since come in from the congregation in Kentishtown, London (Rev. Knippenberg), that their pastor and teacher be granted a salary supplement of $10 a month. Since this supplement appears to be needed, and since the congregation there is also making an effort to do as much as lies within its own power, we recommend that the request be granted.
Resolution: The pastor and teacher in London were each granted a $10 supplement to their monthly salary.
New Zealand.
Recommendations of the Committee.
A Reverend Synod should resolve to continue standing by this mission, by this small band of grateful, zealous fellow Christians, in their spiritual need. However, we would also encourage that the congregations there join in fellowship with our sister synod in Australia, and that the General President accordingly be asked to take the necessary steps.
Regarding the request of Rev. Hassold, stationed there for ten years, that he be given the means to make a trip home to visit his aging parents once more, we would mention the following: the round trip for him would cost about $400 in all. His wife is at home in New Zealand. Should she wish to travel along, relatives would presumably help out in any case. We hold that the Synod should grant Rev. Hassold the travel funds for himself personally.
Resolutions.
The Synod advises the brethren in New Zealand to join the sister synod in Australia.
