Ihr Komitee empfiehlt ferner, daß, ſollte ſich der Wisconſin⸗

118 Proceedings of the 29th General or

"Since the union of the synods still lies far in the future, if it comes about at all, and since the district might possibly soon take up the question of dividing the district again and decide in favor of it, we therefore already ask the General Synod in advance to be willing to give its consent to this, so that the matter need not be needlessly delayed.
"In the name of the conference
"H. A. Handrich."

Your committee recommends to the Reverend Synod that it be left to the Wisconsin District to decide whether it is wise and beneficial to carry out a division of the district now.

Your committee further recommends that, should the Wisconsin District decide in favor of division, the General Synod give its permission and consent to it.

Synodical Report.

Resolutions.

1. In connection with Petition 66, p. 160: the Synod does not recognize a need to have the synodical report appear "in the English language as fully as in the German language" at this time. It therefore lets the matter rest with the resolution passed on this in 1911, "that at least a short minutes of the proceedings be read aloud and printed in the English language." (1911 Report, p. 33).

2. In connection with the wish of a pastoral conference: the Secretary and the Concordia Publishing House shall together make an effort to have the synodical report appear, where possible, as soon as six weeks after the close of the Synod.

Report of the Board of Directors of the Concordia Publishing House.

As we prepare to submit our due report on the administration of the Concordia Publishing House to the Reverend Synod, we may take for granted not only our sense of gratitude toward God, who has guided us with manifest blessing in this triennium as well, but also our thanks for all the support we were privileged to enjoy on the part of our editors and authors, on the part of our subscribers and customers, and likewise on the part of our employees. An increasing cooperation is at work in our publishing house's business, which not only eases the administration of our office but also noticeably increases the effectiveness and success of the business — a success which, however, when one considers it rightly, the
