Zehnten Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1902. 135
J. Molkenthin in gerechtem Banne liege.
Bericht vom Jahre 1899, S. 134, No. 1) nicht in allen Punkten beiſtimmen
Synode Berufung eingelegt. Ihre Committee

be suspended until the two parishes to be attached have submitted
their written consent to the proposed change."
Resolved, that Pastor A. F. Gräbener be referred with this request to
his own District.
2. Resolved, that Mrs. Mathilde Lenz (see the report of the Delegate
Synod of 1899, p. 134, No. 3), who has in the meantime had herself
served by those of false belief, be turned away with her renewed
complaint and be directed to turn, by the way God has marked out, to
her former pastor.
3. Resolved, that the Synod not take up the complaint of Pastor
A. Büsching of Llano, Tex., that he received no hearing from the
Praesidium in the matter against the synodical officers of the Southern
District, since the complainant attached no evidence whatsoever to his
letter and has in the meantime become a member of a synod of
different belief.
4. Resolved, that the complaint of Mr. Johann Molkenthin of
Jackson, Minn., be dismissed as unfounded, since it is clear from the
carefully examined documents on hand that Mr. Molkenthin's case was
carefully investigated by the officers of the Minnesota and Dakota
District, and there can be no doubt that Mr. J. Molkenthin lies under a
just ban.
5. "Mr. W. Schiefelbein of Kansas complains that younger pastors
are proclaiming an interpretation of Daniel 12, John 10:16, Matthew
24:14ff., and Colossians 1:23 that contradicts the interpretation of
Luther and Walther. Troubled by this, he had turned to his District
Synod in this matter but was not satisfied by its response."
Resolved, that Mr. W. Schiefelbein be advised to turn, with a request
for an opinion in this matter, to the theological faculty in St. Louis.
6. The congregation at Newburg, O., which felt it could not agree
in every point with the findings of the investigating committee
appointed by the last Delegate Synod (see the 1899 report, p. 134,
No. 1), had again addressed a letter of complaint to the Synod,
including a request that their dispute be settled.
Resolved, that in view of the fact that the whole matter there has
been repeatedly and thoroughly investigated, the report of the
above-named investigating committee be adopted, with the declaration
that the General Synod is not in a position to act further in this
matter, and that the Synod urgently asks the congregation at Newburg
to let the entire matter now rest.
7. "Pastor G. Gößwein had appealed to the Reverend Synod against a
decision of the theological faculty in St. Louis concerning doctrine,
and against the treatment he had received. Their committee
