2. Beſchloſſen, daß die Ernennung des Herrn Dr. Carl Müller

"Further it must be reported: the previous controller [auditor] resigned
in November of last year on account of illness. We have therefore
temporarily transferred the controller's duties to another member of
the commission, Dr. Carl Müller, and we recommend to the Reverend
Synod that, should Dr. Müller be elected to the commission anew, he
also be made controller at the same time. We have repeatedly had
difficulties in filling this position.

"Finally we would also recall that the funds for our mission should be
sent to the treasurer of the Eastern District and not, as has
sometimes happened, directly to the agent." (Report of the Emigrant
Mission Commission at Baltimore.)

1. Resolved, that the emigrant mission at Baltimore be continued as
before.

2. Resolved, that the appointment of Dr. Carl Müller as controller of
the treasury be confirmed.
