126 Verhandlungen der 25ſten Allgemeinen oder
richte eingeſandt haben, im letzten Jahr z. B. nur ſechs aus vierzehn. Ob
was ihnen von Rechts wegen zukommen ſollte.

126 Proceedings of the 25th General, or
reports, last year, for example, only six out of fourteen. Whether the
Synod wishes to be satisfied with that, or wishes to pass an even stricter
resolution, is for it to decide.
"Furthermore, three years ago two more resolutions were passed
concerning the widow of the late Jewish-mission pastor Landsmann. The
first of these two resolutions, according to which the widow Landsmann
is to be given an annual pension of $240.00 from the General Relief
treasury, has been carried out. The other, however — 'that the support
given to the said widow, which had been drawn from the Jewish Mission
treasury, be repaid into that treasury out of the General Relief treasury' —
has been carried out only in part, namely because the General Relief
treasury did not have enough money to meet such demands without
depriving the many other persons in need of support of what was rightly
owed to them. The General Relief Commission therefore asks the Synod
to reconsider these two resolutions at this year's session.
"Furthermore, the General Relief Commission puts before the Synod
the question whether it would not be advisable to establish a General
Building Fund, out of which congregations unable to undertake a
necessary church building could be given, in part gifts, in part advances."
(Report of the General Relief Commission.)
