Tenth Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1902. 139
pay their traveling preachers better — that the individual Districts
concerned be asked to raise the salaries of their traveling preachers
where possible.
8. Resolved — on a petition asking that the Synod found an
institution for persons afflicted with the "falling" sickness [epilepsy],
as well as for feeble-minded children — that, since it is not the
Synod's task to establish charitable institutions, the petitioner be
advised to see to it that such sufferers be cared for by private means,
and that to that end the petitioner in question apply to the Children's
Friend Society [Kinderfreundgesellschaft] in Milwaukee.

the sister Synod of Wisconsin and Other States, meeting in Milwaukee
