men und auszubezahlen.
vom Jahre 1874, S. 76.) Darauf wurde einerſeits geantwortet, es ſei
bereits geſchehen, andererſeits aber dies, daß erreicht ſei, was man begehre,
in Abrede geſtellt.
in dieſer Sache anzuſtellen:

62 Proceedings of the 19th General [Synod], or
dismiss them again as circumstances require. He must, however,
report such personnel changes to the Board at its next regular
meeting. He also has the authority to fix and pay out the wages for
the workers employed in the business.
10. Within the branches of the book business entrusted to him, he
must seek and promote the church's benefit with all conscientiousness
and fidelity.
Since it became clear that in certain teachers' circles there is
undoubtedly a need for a new reader, one that would fill the gap
existing between the reader for the lower grades and that for the
middle grades:
Resolved, that such a reader, meeting the need expressed, be
produced.
Resolved, that the Cleveland Teachers' Conference be charged with
collecting the pieces for the new reader to be produced.
It was moved that the Synod resolve once again that a uniform
catechism text be established in the catechism, hymnals, and Agenda
[liturgical order-of-service book]. (See the report of the General
Synod of the year 1874, p. 76.) To this it was answered, on the one
hand, that this had already been done, while on the other hand it was
disputed that what was desired had been achieved. Since the Synod
lacked the time to look into the matter:
Resolved, that the settlement of this question be left to the
next Delegate Synod.
