10. Bericht über den Synodalbericht der Ehrw. Synode von Wisconſin
u. a. St. vom Jahre 1883.
Die unterzeichnete Committee hatte von der Ehrw. Synodalconferenz
— In dem Be⸗
in vorliegendem Berichte geſchloſſen. Die Committee bezeugt freudig, daß
ſie alles der heilſamen Lehre gemäß gefunden habe. — Auch die „Geſchäfts⸗
verhandlungen“ zeigen regen Eifer für Gottes Reich.
In Ehrerbietung zeichnet
A. Wagner.

11. Bericht über die Synodalberichte der Ehrw. Concordia⸗Synode
vom Jahre 1882 und 1883.
Ihrem Committee lagen die Berichte der Ehrw. Concordia⸗Synode

96 Proceedings of the tenth convention
on the doctrine of the natural corruption of man and of conversion. After careful examination Your committee can testify that the doctrinal proceedings are not only in accord with the Word of God, but also very thorough and at the same time edifying, so that Your committee has read them with great joy. Also otherwise these reports testify to a right zeal for the edification and extension of the kingdom of God.
Your Committee:
F. Kügele.
10. Report on the Synodal Report of the Venerable Synod of Wisconsin and Other States of the Year 1883.
The undersigned committee had indeed received from the Venerable Synodical Conference the commission also to examine the report of the said synod of the year 1884 and to report on it, but could not do so because it has not yet appeared. — In the report of 1883 the "doctrinal proceedings are based on theses on the authority and use of Holy Scripture." Thesis 1) which reads: "Holy Scripture as God's revealed Word is the sole and fully sufficient source and the only rule and norm of all wholesome doctrine," has been treated at length and well in its three parts. The same holds also of the discussion of the first part of the second thesis, which deals with the grateful and diligent use of Holy Scripture. Here the doctrinal proceedings in the present report are concluded. The committee testifies with joy that it has found everything in accord with the wholesome doctrine. — The "business proceedings" also show lively zeal for God's kingdom.
With respect, signed
A. Wagner.

11. Report on the Synodal Reports of the Venerable Concordia Synod of the Years 1882 and 1883.
To Your committee the reports of the Venerable Concordia Synod of the years 1882 and 1883 were given for examination. In the first-named the Venerable President of this body first states the reasons which urged the formation of this synod, then three theses on the conversion of man to God and the detailed discussion of them are communicated. In the report of 1883 "the doctrine of the Word of God in its relation to the appropriation and certainty of salvation" was discussed thoroughly on the guidance of 4 theses and, illustrated with many excellent citations,
