Well-Deserved Thanks from the Synod to Its Former Treasurer,
Mr. F. W. Barthel.

To its great regret, the Synod learned that its former treasurer, Mr.
F. W. Barthel, is prevented by ongoing ill health from continuing to
administer his office, which he has held for eleven years with great
faithfulness, selflessness, and self-denial. The Synod feels compelled
to offer him publicly its most heartfelt thanks for his faithful
service, and to assure him that it will call upon the Lord to grant
him the reward of grace that he has promised to his faithful servants.

Election of the Officers and Standing Committees of the General
Synod. — Place and Time of the Next General Synodical Convention.

1. As correspondent with foreign countries: Professor C. F. W.
   Walther, continuing;
2. As chronicler: Pastor O. Fürbringer, continuing;
