86 Proceedings of the nineteenth convention

English mission and hand over the sums received to the English synod for the conduct of its work.

On point 2 of the submission it was resolved to lay this question on the table until the next session of the Synodical Conference [*Synodalconferenz*].

In connection with this the question was raised whether it might not be possible to achieve a certain uniformity in liturgy, hymnals, etc., among the English congregations and those German congregations which are beginning English services. It was resolved to appoint a commission whose task it shall be to investigate whether a uniformity can be achieved; at the same time it shall consider point 2 of the present submission and report on it at the next session of the Synodical Conference; the appointment of this commission, as well as the determination of the number of its members, shall be left to the president and vice-president of the Synodical Conference; the Norwegian sister synod shall be asked to take part in the work of this commission.

The officers have appointed the following persons as the commission for this work: Prof. A. Gräbner, President C. Gausewitz, Prof. A. W. Meyer in Kansas, President Ph. v. Rohr and Prof. O. E. Brandt of the Norwegian Synod.

The same took place through the Honorable Synod of Wisconsin and Other States, meeting at the same time.

As a consequence of these requests the board of directors of the local Children's Friend Society has taken this matter under consideration. That the
