4. Visitations have been made, among others, by Prof. L. Fürbringer and Pastor Chas. F. Obermeyer.

Concluding Word.

This report too on the work of the last two years in the Negro Mission shows us that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. Should this not fire and encourage us to abound ever more in this glorious mission work, to carry it on ever more joyfully, willingly and zealously, to offer our gifts for it ever more abundantly, since we know so surely and see before our eyes that we do not labor in vain, but that everything we do for the mission bears fruit? Let us therefore heed the admonition of the Apostle: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

This gives us courage to pray: Lord Jesus Christ, thou King of thy kingdom of heaven, let thy kingdom come more and more to us and to those who still languish outside in the realm of darkness! Wilt thou
