Fifth Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1887. 81

Professors' Salaries

Resolved, that regarding the salaries of the professors the following
provisions shall apply:

1. The salaries of the professors at St. Louis remain unchanged.

2. The salary of the professors at Fort Wayne shall each amount to
$1000.00, with the exception of the Director, whose salary the synod has
fixed at $1200.00, and of Prof. Zucker, who, in view of his large family,
shall receive a supplement of $100.00.

3. The salaries of the professors at Springfield remain unchanged,
with the exception of the salary of Prof. Crämer, who as Director shall
receive a supplement of $100.00, and of Prof. Wyneken, who shall likewise,
on account of his large family, receive a supplement of $100.00.

4. The salaries of the professors at Addison remain unchanged.

5. The salary of the professors at Milwaukee shall each amount to
$1000.00, with the exception of the Director, who shall receive $1100.00.
As regards Prof. Hattstädt, free lodging shall not be included therein.

Two New Districts

Regarding this, two petitions lay before the synod: one signed by the
congregations in the State of Kansas, and the other signed by the
congregations in the States of California and Oregon. By both petitions
the synod was asked to permit the congregations concerned to form
separate districts of the synod.

Resolved, that the congregations in the State of Kansas be permitted
to form their own district, to which the congregations in the State of
Colorado shall also belong, and that this district shall bear the name:
"The Kansas District of the Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States."

Resolved, that the congregations in California and Oregon likewise be
permitted to form their own district, namely under the name: "The
California-Oregon District of the Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other
States."

Resolved, that regarding the last-named new district (California-
Oregon), whose regular attendance on the occasion of its synodical
meetings can probably not be expected of the General President, it be
left to the congregations of this district to reach an agreement with the
General President as to when and how often his visit on the occasion of
that district's synodical meetings is most suitable.
