Fünften Delegatenſynode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. 1887. 57
gemacht. Sie entſtand durch verfehlte Einrichtung der Heizapparate;

Fifth Delegate Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States, 1887. 57
Resolved, that the debt of $978.55 with which Prof. Pieper is
charged in the treasurer's books be released from him and covered
from the Synod treasury.
Note: This debt arose shortly after the completion of the new
seminary building at St. Louis, incurred by the board of oversight for
the students' sake, whose treasurer at the time was Prof. Pieper. It
arose from a faulty installation of the heating apparatus; it is
therefore only fair that it be covered from the Synod treasury, as has
now been resolved.
Resolved, that the annual tax on the printing-house building no
longer be paid from the Synod treasury as before, but be borne by the
publishing house.
Resolved, that the General Treasurer render an annual report not
only on the income and expenditure of the Synod's own funds, but also
on all other funds received and disbursed by him, e.g. for private
charity.
Resolved, that the old building fund and the St. Louis Seminary
building fund be abolished, and the Synod treasury charged with
covering the debt.
Resolved, that the Synod accept with heartfelt thanks the property
of the Bible Society at St. Louis, valued at $17,407.73, which is
offered to it on condition that the large and small standard Bibles
continue to be sold at cost price, and that the pure Lutheran Bible
text be kept unchanged.
