enemies as a reproach to the orthodox Church, although brotherly love can turn them to the best. We would further point out that such criticism does not at once imply the charge of heterodoxy and mostly requires nothing more than a "Corrige linguam" [correct the language].
With due respect
    Your Committee:
        F. Tresselt.
        R. Smukal.
Detroit, Mich., July 21, 1914. Wm. Hagen.

The signature of Pastor Otte is missing because he is abroad; Pastor Mikulski's address I have not been able to learn despite repeated effort; he has moved. Both were present at the meeting and agreed. Wm. Hagen.

IV. Election of Officers.

The election of officers for two years had the following result:

President: P. C. Gausewitz, Milwaukee, Wis.

Vice-President: P. H. Speckhard, Saginaw, Mich.

Secretary: Prof. Joh. Meyer, New Ulm, Minn.

Treasurer: Mr. H. A. Christiansen, 686 Newport Ave., Detroit, Mich.

Note. Before the election of the Vice-President a letter from the former Vice-President, P. L. Hölter, was read, in which he asked that his reelection be passed over. — The elections were made unanimously by resolution.

Pastor President F. Brand was elected chaplain for the opening services.
