Im Anſchluß an dieſen Bericht legte Herr P. O. T. Lee von der
Ehrw.

"The Reverend Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference will now have to declare its position on these resolutions of the Reverend Ev. Luth. Norwegian Synod.

Following this report, Pastor O. T. Lee of the Reverend Norwegian Synod submitted to the convention the following concerning the time that might be required to perfect the planned organic union of the three Norwegian church bodies: "This year the union could no longer be carried out, even if the Synod should resolve upon one, since the resolution would first have to be referred to the congregations for ratification."
The discussion of this matter was given a full session and parts of two others. Several proposals, the content of which was approved, were laid on the table as impractical.
The following resolutions were adopted:
1. Resolved, to approve the course of action of our committee, which did not want to enter into negotiations with a mere committee of the Reverend Norwegian Synod, since the committee had been delegated to the Norwegian Synod itself.
2. Resolved, that we keep in view the goal we set ourselves at Saginaw; that we instruct and authorize our committee to accept the request of the Reverend Norwegian Synod (to negotiate with a committee appointed by the Church Council, p. 62 of the Norwegian synodical report of 1913); that we instruct our committee
