Kinder Gottes.
Im Namen und Auftrag der Kommiſſion für Negermiſſion
Chriſtoph F. Drewes,
derz. Vorſitzer.

66 Proceedings of the twenty-fifth convention
thoroughly discussed at this convention once more; but then in all places in the Synodical Conference energetic action should also be taken in this so important matter. Rumors have come to our ears that an enlargement of the "Missionstaube" [Mission Dove] is desired. The matter is herewith laid before the Reverend Synodical Conference [Synodalkonferenz].
Concluding Word.
Thus a reasonably detailed report has herewith been given to a Reverend Synodical Conference on the blessed work of its Negro Mission, which it carries on in the name of its highly praised LORD and Savior Jesus Christ and in obedience to His great mission command. It is a difficult, but also a work richly blessed by God. To Him be fervent and humble thanks offered for all help so far. May He help us also in the future, as He has helped until now! May He graciously grant that through our slight service more and more of the thousands of poor Blacks in our land may come to know our dear Savior and so be rescued from the devil's chains of sin and brought to the glorious freedom of the children of God.
In the name and by commission of the Commission for the Negro Mission
Christoph F. Drewes,
present Chairman.
