and a building will be erected shortly. In High Point, N. C., and in Spar-
tanburg, S. C., it has not yet been deemed opportune to build, although the
appropriations for these buildings were made in 1924. Primarily because
of lack of funds nothing has been done on the following appropriations
made in 1926: —
Alabama Luther College $ 6,000
Teachers' dwellings in Alabama (one erected at Ingomar) 3,000
Charlotte, N. C. 10,000
Birmingham, Ala. 15,000
Greensboro, N. C. — School 15,000
Monroe, N. C. 5,000
Pomona, N. C. 2,000
7. Our receipts during the last two years have been classified as to
source on Exhibit E. The receipts here listed do not include all the moneys
handled by your Treasurer, such as “Bills Payable,” “Bills Receivable,”
“Suspense” items, “Transitory” items, etc., but only those given for the
purpose indicated.
8. It is necessary to state that the figures given in this report, covering
the fiscal year 1926—1927, cannot be readily compared with those covering
the same period in the Missionstaube and Pioneer a year ago because a dif-
ferent premise was used in making the compilation. The last-named report
was prepared to reflect our gross cash turnover, while the present report
reflects only net transactions. Your Treasurer believes that the present
form better adapts itself to the purpose of such a report.
Respectfully submitted by
July 23, 1928. THEO. W. ECKHART, Treasurer.
On recommendation of the auditing committee the report of the
certified accountant, verifying the treasurer's report, was approved.
