tions. The Treasurer is unable to collect either the interest or the prin-
cipal. A $1,500 note is involved in probating an estate. The $25 rep-
resents bonds on a building belonging to a small congregation in Canada.

Your Treasurer takes pleasure in remarking that all treasuries but
one show a balance, and that the financial assets have more than doubled
since the last report. While such a condition is cause for rejoicing, there
is danger of our assuming a false sense of security and neglecting the God-
given privilege and duty of maintaining these treasuries in their present
condition. Please note that the balances shown in almost all chapel funds
are not nearly sufficient for the purposes intended, while the balance in
the Current Expense Fund would not maintain our mission more than
ten days.

Your Treasurer is pleased to avail himself here of the opportunity
of extending sincere fraternal greetings to the many friends of our Col-
ored Missions. Your letters are always cheerfully received in spite of the
fact that lack of time and press of business do not permit answering them.
Your Treasurer knows that your interest in our work radiates from hearts
full of love for our Savior, and he knows that your interest will grow as
