Bemerkung: Auch in dieſem Jahre hatten viele Delegaten verſäumt,

II. Als berathende Glieder
waren zugegen:

1. Von der ehrw. Synode von Minneſota u. a. Staaten:

Die Paſtoren: Spehr, Emmel, Volkert, Achilles, Deuber, Bender,
Frey, Albrecht, Wolf, Freſe, Stülpnagel, Lange, Seifert, Brauer und Kogler.

2. Von der ehrw. Synode von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. Staaten:

Aus dem Nordweſtlichen Diſtrict die Paſtoren: J. F. Döſcher, J. L.
Daib, F. Keller, A. Rohrlack, H. J. Müller, Cl. Seuel, G. P. A. Schaaf,
H. F. Sprengeler, G. Küchle, Ph. Wambsganß, J. J. Hoffmann, Ch. H.
Löber, E. Rolf, G. Prager, G. Roſenwinkel und die Lehrer J. C. F. W.
Bock, C. H. A. Schliebe.

Aus dem Weſtlichen Diſtrict Paſtor F. Beſel.

3. Von der norwegiſch-lutheriſchen Synode:

Die Paſtoren: N. Brandt, Moſes, St. Reque, Rosholdt, R. Larſen,
Breda, H. Dietrichſen, T. A. Torgerſon und die Profeſſoren: Sievers
und Botne.

Somit waren alſo zugegen 92 Glieder, nämlich 49 Delegaten und 43
berathende Glieder.

Remark: This year again many delegates had neglected to obtain a written credential signed by the president and secretary of their synod. This came from a misunderstanding, in that they supposed that the legitimation of the delegates required by § 3 sub a. of the supplementary regulations [*Nebenbestimmungen*] was fulfilled by sending, according to § 2, a list of the elected delegates to the *Pastor loci* [the local pastor]. But since the provision laid down in § 2 was made only for the sake of the divine services to be held, and a list sent by postcard or in some other way is no credential, only those sufficiently accredited could at first constitute themselves as the *Synodalconferenz* [Synodical Conference]. The Conference then accepted the persons concerned as delegates, once more as an exception for this time; but in view of the general dissatisfaction it will probably be the last time that a person without a valid credential is recognized as a delegate.

II. Present as advisory members:

1. From the Reverend Synod of Minnesota and other States:

The Pastors: Spehr, Emmel, Volkert, Achilles, Deuber, Bender, Frey, Albrecht, Wolf, Frese, Stülpnagel, Lange, Seifert, Brauer and Kogler.

2. From the Reverend Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other States:

From the Northwestern District the Pastors: J. F. Döscher, J. L. Daib, F. Keller, A. Rohrlack, H. J. Müller, Cl. Seuel, G. P. A. Schaaf, H. F. Sprengeler, G. Küchle, Ph. Wambsganß, J. J. Hoffmann, Ch. H. Löber, E. Rolf, G. Prager, G. Rosenwinkel and the Teachers J. C. F. W. Bock, C. H. A. Schliebe.

From the Western District Pastor F. Besel.

3. From the Norwegian Lutheran Synod:

The Pastors: N. Brandt, Moses, St. Reque, Rosholdt, R. Larsen, Breda, H. Dietrichsen, T. A. Torgerson and the Professors: Sievers and Botne.

Thus there were present altogether 92 members, namely 49 delegates and 43 advisory members.

Members of the dear congregations at St. Paul, sometimes more and sometimes fewer, attended the sessions as guests.

Election of Officers.

After the Synodical Conference had constituted itself, the election of officers for the current year was held. It had the following result:
