...a separate building be erected for it, but that a special fourth building be erected for the lecture halls of all three departments and for the auditorium.

e. It may concede that each department have its own separate household budget.

f. It shall move that the order of lectures be a combined one, drawn up according to a common plan — that it be fixed which lectures every student who wishes to be admitted to examination must attend, and with regard to which the choice may be left to him.

g. It shall move that the German professors be chosen by the Missouri Synod and the other exclusively German synods, the English professors by the Ohio Synod, and the Norwegian professors by the Norwegian Synod — provided, however, that the other synods retain the right of confirmation, respectively the right of protest.

h. It shall move that the professors of the various departments be salaried by their respective synods. It shall, however, be permitted to concede that the other synods also help raise the salary of the English professors, since many of their lectures are attended by students of all departments. It shall further be permitted to concede that all the professors, as professors of all the synods participating in the joint seminary, be paid from a common fund, provided that the individual synods contribute to it pro rata.

i. It shall have it established that the medium of instruction in the German department be the German and Latin languages.

k. It shall move that all the synods participating in the joint seminary be represented on the board of oversight.

4. It shall submit its agreement for approval or, respectively, rejection to a committee representing the Delegate Synod, to be convened at Chicago by the general presidium.

Resolved: In the event that the negotiations of the above-named committee meet with favorable success, then — since, on account of expense and lack of time, the whole synod cannot meet again before its next regular convention — a Synodical Committee of 25 members, elected by the Delegate Synod and vested with its full authority, shall be convened at Chicago by the general presidium, in order to examine, respectively confirm, the agreements reached by our committee with the other synods of the Synodical Conference, and to order such measures as serve to carry out the plan.

Resolved, that this Synodical Committee consist of the following persons elected by the synod:
