Delegation.

Beſchloſſen, daß Herr Dr. Sihler und Herr Profeſſor Stellhorn zu
Delegaten an die ehrw. Norwegiſche Synode erwählt ſeien, um bei deren
bevorſtehendem 25jährigen Jubelfeſte unſere Synode zu repräſentiren.

Vermächtniſſe.

Beſchloſſen, daß die Geldvermächtniſſe, welche der Synode zufallen,
in liegenden Gründen angelegt und auf dieſe Weiſe den Zwecken, zu welchen
ſie beſtimmt ſind, erhalten werden.

Synodal⸗Beitrag für Paſtoren und Lehrer.

Da es im Intereſſe der Synode ſein würde, wenn die Synodalbeiträge
der Paſtoren und Lehrer, wofür ſie alle Synodalberichte ohne weitere Koſten
zugeſchickt erhalten, nicht, wie bisher, an die Diſtrictskaſſirer, ſondern direct
an den Generalagenten geſchickt würden:

Beſchloſſen, daß dem Beſchluſſe: „Jeder Prediger und Lehrer u. ſ. w.
... unentgeltlich erhalten" (ſ. Nachträge zum Synodal⸗Handbuch S. 11),
der Zuſatz beigefügt werde:

„Dieſer Beitrag von mindeſtens zwei Dollars jährlich ſoll nur
dann für einen ſolchen erachtet werden, wenn derſelbe von den be⸗
treffenden Paſtoren und Lehrern direct an den Generalagenten ein⸗
geſandt wird."

Parochialberichte.

Da von Statiſtikern erwartet wird, daß wir ihnen jährlich das Material
für ihre Arbeit liefern, für ein ſolches Material aber auch die Parochial⸗
berichte unentbehrlich ſind:

Beſchloſſen, daß die Paſtoren unſerer Synode gehalten ſein ſollen,
ihre Parochialberichte auch in dem Jahre einzureichen, in welchem mit Aus⸗
fall ſämmtlicher Diſtricts⸗Synodalverſammlungen die Delegatenſynode ihre
Sitzungen hält. Die Einreichung der Parochialberichte in dem genannten
Jahre ſoll in der Weiſe geſchehen, daß ſie vor der Sitzungszeit an den Secretär
der Synode eingeſandt, oder ihm bei Gelegenheit der Sitzungen übergeben
werden.

Folgende Eingaben wurden auf den Tiſch gelegt:

1. Paſtor Döſcher's — wegen Verſäumniß der für derartige Eingaben
anberaumten Friſt, da die Zeit jetzt die nöthige Prüfung des Schriftſtückes
nicht mehr geſtattet.

2. Paſtor Sommer's — aus demſelben Grunde.

Delegation.

Resolved, that Dr. Sihler and Professor Stellhorn be elected as
delegates to the venerable Norwegian Synod, to represent our Synod at
its upcoming 25th anniversary jubilee.

Bequests.

Resolved, that monetary bequests accruing to the Synod be invested
in real property, and thereby preserved for the purposes for which they
are intended.

Synodical Dues for Pastors and Teachers.

Since it would be in the Synod's interest for the synodical dues of
pastors and teachers — for which they receive all Synodal-Berichte
[convention proceedings] free of further charge — to be sent not, as
before, to the district treasurers, but directly to the General Agent:

Resolved, that the following addition be made to the resolution
"Every preacher and teacher etc. ... [shall] receive [it] free of charge"
(see the Supplements to the Synodal-Handbuch, p. 11):

"This contribution of at least two dollars annually shall be
regarded as such only when it is sent directly to the General Agent
by the pastor or teacher concerned."

Parochial Reports.

Since statisticians expect us to supply them yearly with material for
their work, and since the parochial reports are indispensable for such
material:

Resolved, that the pastors of our Synod shall be required to submit
their parochial reports also in the year in which, with all district
synodical conventions omitted, the Delegatensynode holds its sessions.
The submission of the parochial reports in that year shall take place in
such a way that they are sent to the Secretary of the Synod before the
time of the sessions, or handed to him on the occasion of the sessions.

The following petitions were laid on the table:

1. Pastor Döscher's — for missing the deadline set for such petitions,
since there is no longer time for the necessary examination of the
document.

2. Pastor Sommer's — for the same reason.
