ſelben bedingt. — Die Reihenfolge der Delegaten iſt dieſelbe, wie ſie in den Berichten der
einzelnen Diſtrictsſynoden gegeben worden iſt.

†) Die mit einem † bezeichneten Delegaten haben die Synode vor Schluß derſelben
ohne Erlaubnis verlaſſen.

‡) Die Wahl dieſes Delegaten geſchah von dem betreffenden Wahlkreis nach
Schluß der Synode des Diſtricts, ohne daß von letzterem eine vorhergehende Be⸗
gutachtung ſolcher nachträglichen Wahl eingeholt worden wäre. Obwohl beſondere Um⸗
ſtände betreffs dieſes an ſich conſtitutionswidrigen Vorgehens zur Entſchuldigung gereichen
konnten, und in Anbetracht deſſen die Delegatenſynode die getröffene Wahl ſchließlich an⸗
erkannte, ſo hielt ſie es doch für geboten, die einſtimmige Erklärung abzugeben, daß dieſe
von ihr unter beſonderen Umſtänden anerkannte Wahl niemals als eine Präcedenz für
dergleichen oder ähnliche Fälle angeſehen werden dürfe.

convention the previous year. — The order of the delegates is the same as given in the
reports of the individual district synods.

†) The delegates marked with a † left the Synod before its close without permission.

‡) This delegate's election was made by the electoral circuit in question after the
close of the district's synod, without any prior review of such a subsequent election
having been obtained from the latter. Although particular circumstances concerning this
proceeding — irregular in itself under the constitution — might serve as an excuse, and
although in view of them the Delegate Synod ultimately recognized the election that had
been made, it nevertheless considered it proper to declare unanimously that this election,
recognized by it under special circumstances, may never be regarded as a precedent for
similar or comparable cases.
