Remark: To this sum there are to be added $3.00 which were on hand from the last accounting, as well as $12.00 which the Middle District of the Rev. Missouri Synod owes the treasury for the printing of the "Denkſchrift" [memorial], which sum, although demanded twice from the treasurer of this district, was not sent in.
Joh. M. Smith, Treasurer.
The committee for the examination of the above treasurer's report, consisting of the delegates Teacher J. H. Ungemach and Messrs. J. Eitemüller and C. Heidenreich, reported that they had examined the treasurer's papers carefully, compared them, and found them correct. The total receipts, they said, were $642.70 and the total disbursements $636.24. So there remained in the treasury $6.46. According to the treasurer's report, $12.00 were still outstanding from the Middle District of the Missouri Synod. This sum has been handed over to the committee. Accordingly there are $18.46 in cash in the treasury.
Concurring in the proposal of the committee appended to this report, the Synodical Conference [*Synodalconferenz*] resolved that its treasurer is to enter all the accounts of the Conference in one book.
Synodical Archive.
In regard to this the following resolutions were passed:
1) Resolved, that a container suitable for the archive be purchased.
2) Resolved, that the library of Concordia University [*Concordia⸗Univerſität*] at St. Louis be the place for the keeping of the archive.
3) Resolved, that Professor F. A. Schmidt be herewith appointed archivist.
4) Resolved, that the secretary for the time being deliver one copy of the printed report to the archivist for the synodical archive, and when so many printed reports are on hand that a volume would contain about 500 pages, the archivist shall have them bound together.
Unfinished Business.
1. Theses on church fellowship [*Kirchengemeinſchaft*].
2. Theses on the *Jus parochiale* [parochial law].
3. Theses on home mission [*innere Miſſion*].
Synodical Services.
Besides the opening sermon, two further synodical services were held, namely on Friday evening, at which Professor F. A. Schmidt of St. Louis, and on Tuesday evening, at which President J. H. Sieker of the Minnesota Synod preached.
Printing of this Year's Proceedings.
It was resolved that the place for the printing of the report, as well as the number to be printed, be left to the secretary, but that the secre-
