Remark: For those marked † a letter of credentials had indeed been submitted, but they were not present. Only some of them had sent a letter of excuse. The Synodalconferenz holds, however, that it has no jurisdiction over this, but that the synods concerned must call the delegates who did not appear to account.
Some synods either did not elect the full number of delegates, or the elected delegates did not appear. But since the officers of some synods sent in no complete list of all the delegates elected, the names of several absent members could not be made known.
The following were present as advisory members:
1. From the venerable Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other States:
The Pastors: J. A. F. W. Müller, St. Keyl, G. Speckhardt, A. Brauer, C. Engelder, C. Sallmann, E. W. Kähler, P. J. Bühl, H. W. Lothmann, J. Horn — and the Teachers A. Müller, A. Paar, H. Ilse.
