54 Proceedings of the twelfth convention
VIII. A Petition from Prof. A. Crämer
of Concordia Seminary at Springfield, Ill., concerning the admission of students into the preachers' seminaries, was laid on the table by the Synodical Conference [*Synodalconferenz*] as such and left to the various faculties of the Synodical Conference for disposal.
IX. Examination of the Synodical Reports of the Synods Belonging to the Synodical Conference.
The following committee reports were unanimously adopted:
1. Report on the synodical reports of the Rev. Synod of Minnesota of 1886 and 1887.
The undersigned committee has carefully looked through these reports submitted to it for examination and found in them doctrinal discussions on good works (1. what they are, 2. who can do them, 3. why they are necessary) as the main subject of the business of two annual meetings of our sister synod. That the brethren in this have held to the pattern of wholesome doctrine and have also remained in one mind and in one judgment with the Confessions of our Lutheran church is hereby testified in accordance with the truth.
Fr. Sievers.
E. Rolf.

The undersigned, commissioned to look through the report of the General Synod of Missouri of the year 1887, take the liberty to report that nothing is found in it that would be contrary to God's Word.
Watertown, 7 August 1888.
