vierteljährlich, die für Negermiſſion eingelaufenen Gelder an den Kaſ⸗
ſierer der Negermiſſion einſenden.

d. Die Kommiſſion wurde beauftragt, für die nächſte Verſamm⸗
lung der Synodalkonferenz einen detaillierten Bericht über die Ge⸗
hälter ſämtlicher Arbeiter in der Negermiſſion vorzulegen.

III. Regulativ für den Miſſionsdirektor.

Zwei Eingaben waren bezüglich eines Regulativs für den Miſ⸗
ſionsdirektor gemacht worden. Dieſe wurden einem Komitee zur Be⸗
richterſtattung überwieſen. Der Bericht dieſes Komitees wurde ange⸗
nommen, und die Empfehlungen desſelben wurden zu Beſchlüſſen
erhoben.

1. Komiteebericht.

An die Ehrw. Ev.⸗Luth. Synodalkonferenz von Nordamerika.
Geehrte Väter und Brüder!

Ihr Komitee für das Regulativ für das Amt des Miſſionsdirek⸗
tors der Negermiſſion hat die beiden vorliegenden Regulative gehört,
genau geprüft und miteinander verglichen und ſich auf ein Regulativ
geeinigt, welches es der Konferenz zur Annahme empfiehlt.

Das Komitee empfiehlt ferner, daß das Gehalt des Direktors in
Anbetracht der großen Unkoſten, die er auf ſeinen Reiſen hat, auf
$150.00 den Monat feſtgeſetzt werde.

2. Regulativ für den Miſſionsdirektor der Negermiſſion der Ev.⸗Luth.
Synodalkonferenz.

§ 1. Es iſt die Aufgabe des Miſſionsdirektors, ſeine ganze Zeit
und Kraft in den Dienſt dieſer Miſſion zu ſtellen und ſie nach Kräften
allſeitig nach außen und innen zu fördern.

§ 2. Er ſoll zu dem Zweck es ſich angelegen ſein laſſen, Ver⸗
ſtändnis, Intereſſe und Eifer für dieſe Miſſion in den Synoden und
Gemeinden der Synodalkonferenz zu erwecken, zu erhalten und zu
mehren. Er ſoll ſo viel als möglich die allgemeinen und die Diſtrikts⸗
ſynoden, größere Paſtoralkonferenzen uſw. beſuchen und dort die An⸗
gelegenheiten der Miſſion zur Sprache bringen und vertreten. Auch
ſoll er in den einzelnen Gemeinden ſelbſt, ſoweit es ſeine Zeit erlaubt,
und die Gemeinden es geſtatten, auf Miſſionsfeſten und dergleichen
Gelegenheiten durch paſſende Vorträge das Intereſſe der Miſſion wahr⸗
nehmen.

§ 3. Er ſoll ſich ferner die Verbreitung unſerer Miſſionsblätter
angelegen ſein laſſen und auch von Zeit zu Zeit paſſende Beiträge aus
der Miſſion für ſie liefern.

d. The commission was instructed to present to the next convention of the Synodical Conference a detailed report on the salaries of all workers in the Negro Mission.

III. Regulation for the Mission Director.

Two petitions had been made concerning a regulation [*Regulativ*] for the Mission Director. These were referred to a committee for a report. The report of this committee was adopted, and its recommendations were raised to resolutions.

1. Committee Report.

To the Honorable Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference of North America. Honored Fathers and Brethren!

Your committee for the regulation for the office of Mission Director of the Negro Mission has heard the two regulations before it, examined them closely and compared them with one another, and has agreed upon one regulation, which it recommends to the Conference for adoption.

The committee further recommends that the Director's salary, in view of the great expenses he has on his travels, be fixed at $150.00 a month.

2. Regulation for the Mission Director of the Negro Mission [*Negermission*] of the Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference [*Synodalkonferenz*].

§ 1. It is the task of the Mission Director to place his whole time and strength in the service of this mission and to promote it to the best of his ability on all sides, outwardly and inwardly.

§ 2. To this end he shall make it his concern to awaken, maintain and increase understanding, interest and zeal for this mission in the synods and congregations of the Synodical Conference. As far as possible he shall attend the general and the district synods, larger pastoral conferences, etc., and bring up and represent the affairs of the mission there. Also he shall, in the individual congregations themselves, as far as his time permits and the congregations allow, look after the interest of the mission at mission festivals and similar occasions through suitable addresses.

§ 3. He shall further make the circulation of our mission papers his concern and also from time to time supply suitable contributions from the mission for them.
