The lot on which it stands, 100×100 feet, is valuable ($1500.00) and is constantly rising in value, because more and more well-to-do whites are settling in the neighborhood. When the right time comes, the property is to be sold. The members can then attach themselves to St. Paul's or Bethel.

Bethlehem in Monroe, 25 miles southeast of Charlotte, also belongs to McDavid's parish. Monroe has 5000 inhabitants, of whom one third are Negroes. The station numbers 19 souls, 12 communicants, 4 voting members and 26 children in the Sunday school. The chapel together with half an acre of land has a value of $1500.00.
