Ev. Luth. Synod of Missouri and other States
Gegenſtand der Lehrverhandlungen: "The Unity
of the Christian Church." J. Schaller.
                                              E. Ph. Dornfeld.

Ev.⸗Luth. Synodalkonferenz von Nordamerika, ver⸗

of the Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference of North America. 1912. 55

sions: "What Does the Present Time Demand with Regard to the Preparatory and Professional Training of Our Pastors?"
                                              M. J. F. Albrecht.
                                              C. Ross.

The undersigned committee, on commission of the Honorable Presidium, has conscientiously examined the report of the Honorable Ev. Luth. Synod of Missouri and other States for the year 1910 and has found nothing in it that would be contrary to the Word of God and to the confession of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Subject of the doctrinal discussions: "The Unity of the Christian Church."
                                              J. Schaller.
                                              E. Ph. Dornfeld.

2. Since the reports of the committees for reviewing the report of the Honorable Minnesota Synod for the year 1910 and the report of the Eastern District of the Honorable Missouri Synod for the year 1910 were signed by only one committee member each, they were referred back to the respective committees.

3. The committee for reviewing the report of the Honorable Michigan Synod for the year 1910 had expressed two reservations in its report. Since the Conference did not see itself in a position to take a stand on this report at once, it was resolved to refer the matter to a committee, which is to report at the next convention of the Synodical Conference [*Synodalkonferenz*]. The committee is also to deal with the question of how far the criticism of a synodical report may extend to wording and expression.

For this committee the President [*Präses*] appointed the pastors W. Hagen, R. Smukal, F. Tresselt, H. C. F. Otte and C. Mikulski.

V. New Pericopes.

The committee appointed two years ago (see Report of the Synodical Conference of the year 1910, p. 59 ff.) presented its report, which was received with thanks and, together with the proposed series of pericopes, was referred for inclusion in this year's report of the Synodical Conference.

Report of the Committee.

To an Honorable Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference of North America, assembled at Saginaw, Mich., in August 1912, the undersigned, in accordance with the commission received, venture to submit a list of four new series of pericopes, as printed on the accompanying scheme.

Respectfully,
The Committee:
Friedr. H. K. Soll.
F. H. Eggers.
Theodor Schlüter.
E. F. Härtel.
