Finally, we owe God heartfelt thanks that, through the diligence of
our dear brothers W. Keyl and H. Fick, our Church is being given two
works from which the richest fruits may be hoped, both for the
advancement of sound knowledge and for the awakening of living zeal in
confessing and obeying the truth. Pastor Keyl has, in fact, already begun
to produce a collection, arranged in the order of the Catechism, of
everything to be found in Luther's writings on every subject touching the
Catechism. Pastor Fick, on the other hand, is occupied with publishing a
book of martyrs, which will describe in particular the blood-witnesses
[martyrs] of the Lutheran Church. We wish our dear brothers God's
blessing, strength, and perseverance for the completion of the work they
have undertaken.
