Scott County, Mo., Pomeroy, Wittenberg, Neudettelsau
und Minden, — deren Entſchuldigungsgründe ſämmtlich angenommen
wurden.

The above list shows that 24 voting pastors, 12 congregational deputies,
and 25 advisory members were present at this year's synodical convention,
while the number of the absent comes to 18 voting pastors and 18 advisory
members.
The names of several faithful teachers who were recorded in last year's
synodical report no longer appear in this one; these dear brothers have
entered into the joy of their Lord. Even so, the list above shows a larger
number of synod members than that contained in last year's report. From
it one sees that the Synod presently numbers 85 standing members, namely
75 pastors and 10 schoolteachers.
As guests, the Reverend Pastors Meißner and Böhm were present at this
year's convention, as were the students of the college.
Of the absent members, only the Reverend Pastors Richmann, Hattstädt,
Selle, Wege, Gräbner, Hoffmann, Bürger, Husmann, Baumgart, Keyl,
Hoyer, Fricke, and Sievers, as well as the teachers Zagel and Wolf,
excused their non-appearance. Of these, only Pastor Fricke was not excused.
Among the congregations belonging to the Synod, only the following
excused themselves for failing to send a deputy: those in and near
Lancaster, Chicago, Langfork and at Apple Creek, Eisleben, Monroe,
Scott County, Mo., Pomeroy, Wittenberg, Neudettelsau, and Minden —
whose grounds for excuse were all accepted.
