of the Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference of North America. 1890. 43

Examination of the Synodical Reports of the Synods Belonging to the Synodical Conference [*Synodalconferenz*].

The following committee reports were unanimously adopted:

1. Report on the Synodical Reports of the Venerable Synod of Minnesota for 1888 and 1889.

The undersigned committee has examined the reports of the Venerable Synod of Minnesota for 1888 and 1889 and has found nothing in them that is contrary to sound doctrine. These reports deal with "church discipline," namely with the first and second step of brotherly admonition. C. Roß.
                                                        O. Clöter.

2. Report on the Synodical Reports of the Canada District of the Venerable Synod of Missouri for 1888 and 1889.

The undersigned have looked through the two reports of the Canada District of the Venerable Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other States, for the years 1888 and 1889. It is a pleasure to them to be able to say that the reports, which deal with the sacrament of holy Baptism and with absolution, are not only fully in accord with Scripture, but also bear witness to the great zeal and thoroughness with which the brethren in Canada work. August F. Ernst.
                                                        J. Köhler.

3. Report on the Synodical Reports of the Iowa District of the Venerable Synod of Missouri for 1888 and 1889.

The undersigned have subjected the two synodical reports of the Iowa District of the German Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other States, for the years 1888 and 1889, to careful examination, and have found nothing in them of which it could be said that it is contrary to the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ; but they must also gladly acknowledge that in these reports the doctrine of the following of Christ and the directions for congregational life are presented, on the basis of the two Epistles to the Corinthians, in a most instructive and edifying way.

Hustisford, Dodge Co., Wis., July 1890. Ph. Köhler.
                                                        Theo. Hartwig.

4. Report on the Synodical Reports of the Michigan District of the Venerable Synod of Missouri for 1888 and 1889.

The undersigned committee has looked through the reports of the Michigan District of the Venerable Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other States, which contain the proceedings of the years 1888 and 1889, and
