A. C. Burgdorf, Treasurer.

We, the undersigned committee, have examined the books and accounts of the treasurer and found them correct, and hereby attest that the above statement agrees with them. J. H. Kalbfleisch Jr.
J. C. Brockmeier.

The above report was discussed, adopted, and in connection with it the following recommendations of the Commission were raised to resolutions:

1. The erection of a school of two classrooms for the station "Bethlehem" in New Orleans.

2. The erection of a school of two classrooms for the station "St. Paul" in New Orleans.

3. Repair and enlargement of the church in Meherrin, Va.

4. The request that a school of two classrooms or a church for "Mount Zion" in New Orleans be granted was granted insofar as the Commission was encouraged to take up the carrying out of this plan as soon as the condition of the mission treasury permits.

5. Further, the Commission was authorized to look around among the teachers already in office and to call those who seem suitable to it for the three positions.

6. The recommendation of the Commission that the Venerable Synodical Conference [*Synodalconferenz*] make to the Missouri Synod the urgent request to advance to it, for the carrying on of the Negro Mission (Negermission), $4000.00 from its Heathen Mission treasury, and to the Wisconsin Synod the equally urgent request for a loan of $2000.00, was declined, since Presidents Schwan and von Rohr declared that they had no authority for the approval of such a request.

7. On the other hand it was resolved to authorize the Commission to set forth, by a rousing circular to all congregations of our federation, the urgent need of our Negro Mission and to call for very prompt and vigorous help for these buildings.

Admission of the Venerable General English Evangelical Lutheran Conference of Missouri and other States.

The above-named Conference, at present consisting of eight congregations, their pastors and six parish schools, had applied, through its President present here, Pastor F. Kügele of Virginia, for admission into the federation of the Venerable Synodical Conference. The committee appointed for the examination of the
