Incorporation of the Synodical Conference.
There was before the convention a petition from Mr. Ernst Küchle of Milwaukee to the effect that the Synodical Conference should and must have itself incorporated, in order to be able to hold and administer bequests and property legally. A committee appointed by the President thereupon made the following recommendation, which was adopted:
That the Synodical Conference limit itself at this convention to passing the following resolutions:
1. Resolved, that the Synodical Conference have itself incorporated.
2. Resolved, that the President appoint a committee which is to attend to the relevant studies and preparations. This committee is to make proposals and recommendations to the Synodical Conference at its next convention. Such recommendations may also contain such changes of the constitution as may seem necessary or desirable for the purpose of incorporation.
3. Resolved, that the President and the Secretary of the Synodical Conference belong to this committee, and that the President determine the size of the committee according to need.
4. Resolved, that the Secretary be instructed to communicate the above resolutions to the presidents of the synods belonging to the Synodical Conference.
