convention assembled at Anaheim, Calif., wholeheartedly
commend those Presidents and Counselors of the Synod who,
far from encouraging or supporting the spread of doctrinal

supervisors, but also, if they refuse to repent, take immediate
steps to remove them from the offices to which they are elected.

A Statement (1973); and

WHEREAS, The salaries of campus pastors are paid in full or

WHEREAS, Campus pastors salaried by Districts of the Synod
ought to uphold all the teachings of the Synod as set forth in its
doctrinal statements adopted in convention; and

have stated that as a majority they are unwilling to submit
to the latest doctrinal statement adopted by the Synod in con-
vention in New Orleans in 1973; therefore be it

Resolved. That the Board of Directors of each District of
the Synod appoint a committee to meet with the campus pastors
of their District and discuss their commitment to the public
doctrine of the Synod and, where disagreement is found, to deal

Resolved, That those campus pastors who after patient
instruction, admonition, and exhortation refuse to teach and
