Literary Notices. 189

sheets 8vo, paper covers, 20 Sgr. Cheaper in quantity. A Lutheran hymnal for
school and home, a selection of the foremost hymns received in the church, with
their tunes.

Memorial Tablets for Confirmation, by A. Ebert, archdeacon in Dannenberg.
A. Edition with the memorial verses printed in. 2nd revised edition. Price of a
complete copy of 150 tablets, 2 Thlr.; of a fascicle of 50 tablets, 25 Ngr. —
B. Edition with open space for the entering of a memorial verse. 3rd revised
edition. Price of a fascicle of 50 tablets, 12½ Ngr. To be obtained from the
publisher in Dannenberg. "The tastefully chosen and well-executed pictorial
representations by which the inner space is surrounded, as well as the passages
of Scripture printed within it, containing the sum of the Christian life, and
the correctly Lutheran confirmation declaration — improved in the third edition,
just issued, by a small clarifying alteration — are the same on all the tablets;
only the particular memorial verse and memorial stanza differ, in edition A, on
every tablet. In place of these, edition B leaves an open space for the entering
of a particular memorial verse, and with each fascicle there is enclosed a list
of 100 memorial verses skilfully selected from the whole of Scripture, for
choosing among, as well as a compilation, clearly arranged according to the
chief parts of the catechism, of the passages of Scripture cited on the tablets
in explanation of the pictorial representations. Suitable space for entering the
confirmand's name, the days of his birth, baptism and confirmation, the text of
the confirmation address, and the pastor's signature is moreover provided on
all the tablets."
