To Replace St. Louis Board of Control
Wuereas, For more than 10 years professors at Con-
cordia Seminary, St. Louis. have publicly taught false doc-
trine at the seminary and elsewhere in the LCMS; and
Wuereas, Such false doctrine is substantiated by the Fact
Finding Report of the President of the LCMS: and
Wuereas, Faithful To Our Calling, Faithful To Our Lord,
written and published by the professors of Concordia Semi-
nary, St. Louis, confirms the allegations of the past 10 years
and the results of investigation of the President of the
LCMS; and
Wuereas, The Board of Control has failed to recognize
this false doctrine and has failed subsequently to take the
action demanded by the mandates of the Constitution and
the Bylaws of the LCMS: therefore be it
Resolved, That for the benefit of pure doctrine and for
the sake of the church for which Christ died that all seats
on the Board of Control of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis,
be declared vacant by the Synod; and be it further
Resolved, That The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod
in legal assembly gathered empower the synodical President
to appoint an interim board to serve at his discretion for
the next 4 years. Sr. Paut’s LUTHERAN CHURCH

To Appoint Special Seminary Board
Wuereas, The controversy concerning Concordia Semi-
nary, St. Louis, Mo., must be settled for the good of the
church and the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: and
Wuereas, The elected Board of Control is obviously di-
vided on the issues involved: and
Wuereas. The elected Board of Control has been unable
to resolve the situation; and
Wuereas. Settlement of the issues calls for special skills
on the part of the Board of Control of the seminary: and
Wuereas, The Synod is superior to all its boards, com-
missions. and officers, and possesses the right to take extraor-
dinary action under the Constitution of the Synod (e.g,
especially Article XI. paragraphs 2 and 3); therefore be it
Resolved, That the Synod in convention assembled re-
move from office without prejudice all members of the
Board of Control who have unexpired terms and refrain
from electing replacements for those members whose terms
expire: and be it further
Resolved, That the Synod instruct the President and
Vice-Presidents of the Synod after consultation with the
Board for Higher Education of the Synod, to appoint a
Board of Control for Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; and
be it further
Resolved, That said Board of Control shall serve for a
period of 2 years, after which the board members shall be
elected as provided for in the synodical Handbook, with the
election being arranged so that members shall have over-
lapping terms as at present: and be it finally
Resolved. That the present ex officio members of the
Board of Controls, i.e., the President of the Missouri Dis-
trict and a Vice-President of the Synod shall be included
as members of the special board referred to in this resolution.

To Ask Board of Control to Resign
Wuereas, In its dealings with the five members of the
faculty of Concordia Seminary, St.Louis, Mo., who have
consistently supported the President of Synod in his de-
termination to uphold orthodoxy in Synod, the Board of
Control of that institution has repeatedly appeared to vacil-
late; and
Wuereas. The same board has failed to act expeditiously
when instances of malfeasance on the part of the seminary
administration have been brought to its attention: and
Wuereas, The same board has exhibited relatively mild
reaction toward gross violations of both the Fourth and the
Eighth Commandments on the part of the seminary admin-
istration; therefore be it
Resolved. That Synod assembled in New Orleans ask the
Board of Control of Concordia Seminary to resign and a
new Board of Control be elected to act on the matter.

To Ask for Resignation of Board of Control
of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis
Wuereas. The Board of Control of Concordia Seminary,
St. Louis. has done very little to “control” the doctrinal
aberrations of the seminary as evidenced by the Report of
the Fact Finding Committee: and
Wuereas, The said Board of Control has been negligent
in its duty. e. g.. for the period of 9 months managed to inter-
view only one person on the basis of the Fact Finding Com-
mittee Report (Report p. 139): and
Wuereas, The said Board of Control has been uncoopera-
tive and negligent by not corporately considering the State-
ment sent to all congregations by Dr. J. A. O. Preus; and
Wuereas. The Board of Control chairman unjustly and
publicly attacked the President of Synod (Report p. 141);
and
Wuereas, The Board of Control has not truly and faith-
fully fulfilled its purpose as stated in the Handbook 6.21 “To
foster and safeguard its {Svnod's] religious . - - interests’:
therefore be it
Resolved. That all members of the Board of Control be
required to tender their resignation: and be it further
Resolved. That the President of Synod be empowered
for this instance only to appoint a new Board of Control.
