von uns dort angefangenen Miſſionswerkes Alles thun werde, was
in ihren Kräften ſteht.
node von Miſſouri, Ohio u. a. St. eine weiſe und mächtige Pflegerin, und
laſſe Alles gerathen, was ſie zum Heile der Heiden beginnt! Amen.

anyway had long regarded the station as the Synod's own property. He was, however,
convinced that many difficulties could arise if only the
Frankenmuth station were handed over to the Synod, while the new station established by
Missionary Baierlein near Frankenmuth
were not likewise formally handed over by the Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Mission Society at Leipzig — otherwise at Dresden — to whom Mr. Baierlein
is answerable. He therefore turned to the Society of the Evangelical
Lutheran Mission at Leipzig and proposed a transfer.
After we had come to the same resolve on both sides, both the Society
in question and Pastor Wilhelm Löhe declared:
that we transfer the direction of the German-Lutheran mission station in
Michigan to the Synod of the German-Lutheran congregations in Missouri, Ohio
and other states, in the expectation that it will do everything in its
power to further the mission work we began there.
Moreover, the Society of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission at
Leipzig makes it a condition for the venerable Synod to see to it that
Missionary Baierlein report to it in full at least once a year on his mission work,
its successes and prospects, and adds to this
the wish that the local Mission Committee also, from time to time,
send communications about its entire mission activity among the Indians.
In return, the Society promises to continue to keep the mission there
close to its heart, and assures that, should the Synod need our assistance
regarding the provision of necessities for Missionary Baierlein, it stands
ready, according to circumstances and means, to help.
The two envoys concerned, Pastor Crämer and Missionary
Baierlein, will be given the necessary notice of this transfer.
May the merciful God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ grant the German-Lutheran stations in Michigan grace and
the richest blessing for Jesus Christ's sake! May He grant them, in the Synod
of Missouri, Ohio, and other states, a wise and powerful guardian, and
let everything prosper that it undertakes for the salvation of the heathen! Amen.
To you, venerable brother, heartfelt greetings and a wish for peace!

Resolutions concerning the above mission report.
The Synod charged the Mission Committee with replying, in the Synod's name, to
the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Society at Leipzig and to Pastor Löhe at
Neu-Dettelsau, to give thanks for the handing over of those mission
stations, and in doing so to express the request that they continue, so far as
possible, to support them further, since the Synod, under the present
circumstances, would scarcely be able to maintain the station out of its own
funds.
As for the mission station of Missionary Auch, the pastors
Crämer, Hoffmann, Sievers, and Missionary Baierlein gave
further information about it, from which it emerged that the Synod of Michigan
would presumably raise no obstacle to its formal transfer,
though the secure legal title to the mission land was more complicated
