Thou knowest, Lord. the secrets of our hearts; shut not thy merciful ears to our
prayer: but spare us, Lord most holy, O God most mighty. O holy and merciful
Savior, thou most worthy judge eternal. Suffer us not at our Jast hour, through
any pains of death, to fall from thee. ‘1 ::urgical verse!
In my anguish 1 cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free.
1t is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
1 is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
1 was pushed back and ahout to fall, but the Lord helped me.
Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord's right
hand has done mighty things! The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord's night
hand has done mights things!” I will not die but live, and will proctaim what the
Lord has done.
Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.i Ps. | ]8:S.5-9.

For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we
live. we live to the I ord: and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or
die, we belong to the Lord. (Rom, 14:7-")
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will
live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.~

P Jesus (said). “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell vou
the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a
single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will
lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me: and where I am, my servant also will be. My
Father will honor the one who serves me.” (John 12:23-26)
Listen, I tell you. a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a
flash, in the twinkling of an eve. at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,
the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable
must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When
the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with
immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been
swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is
your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks
be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor

Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord
Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his
control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
